Design Features

Base – tank T-44.
The overall layout is classical.
Armament – a cannon with altered armor, an anti-aircraft machine gun with a manual hoisting mechanism. The drive mechanism of the turret mechanism is electric.
Protection – the turret is cast, large-sized new shape (without reverse bevel in front and sides), with commander’s turret and turret for antiaircraft machine gun; the thickness of the frontal sheet was changed.

Chassis – engine 12-cylinder, four-stroke, V-shaped liquid-cooled diesel engine; Injection heater is introduced into the heating system; the chassis is similar to the T-44; the caterpillar belt is expanded by 80 mm.
