Modern and archival photographs:
British tank MK V, which was originally (lower photo), for some reason, decorated in German color, although according to experts this model was not captured by the Germans. Now again painted in the “combat trophy of the Red Army Comrade. Trotsky. In all Soviet sources is called “Heavy” tank or “Ricardo”. The real color (factory) should be “khaki” – yellow-brown-green …
Tactical coloring is made for the period of the Vietnam War (see padded American tanks in Vietnam and the Kuti Tunnel Museum)
P.S. In order to improve the appearance of the exhibits and bring them to a uniform appearance, the samples of Western technology for the Day of the Tankman 2007 were painted in a uniform defensive combined-arms green color.
The historical coloring, made by professional modelers, was not very strong. The paint peeled off and on closer inspection by visitors the kind of technique was not respectable.
