Object 288, the tank museum in Kubinka, photo of 2006.

It was developed in 1963. Only the prototype has been issued. It was not in the military service. In the battles was not used.

Design Features

Base – with the use of “object 287” units and T-64 tank.
The overall layout is a sealed enclosure with three compartments: controls, staff and power.

Armament – no.

Protection – welded body of rolled parts, anti-radiation protection.

Chassis – power plant consists of two gas turbine helicopter engines; synchronization of the operation of gas turbines by means of individual fuel drives and two tachometers; suspension individual, torsion, with telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers.
